Choice is a wonderful thing unless it feels as if you don't have a choice! When it comes to Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia, there is no choice. However, when it comes to how one can manage quality of life, for both the caregiver and the one afflicted with the disease, there are a lot of choices. In fact, the choice is yours; you can proceed with pain or with pleasure.
First, you need to understand the meaning of the word "denial" was changed, I changed it myself! It is now "eternal hopefulness" and it will be just fine to have that hopefulness "until the end of time". Choice is a part of this situation too, you can choose to be "eternally hopeful" but be sure to take action so you don't waste a moment of the time you have together.
Choose to make a positive change right now!
